Africa: Middle East the focus for Altor Risk Group’s growth

Altor Risk Group, a global company specialising in understanding risk and the management of major accidents has boosted its Middle East, Africa and Central Asia (MEACA) operations with the appointment of a new business unit leader for the region.

Altor has promoted one of its experienced International team leaders, Brian Davis, to the post. The existing MEACA business unit leader Dominic Webb will now perform the same role for the company’s Asia Pacific (APAC) operation.

Mr Davis has worked for 12 years and in 16 countries as a specialist in many aspects of emergency response, crisis management and business continuity particularly within the oil & gas and aviation industries.

A specialist in developing systems for use in emergency and crisis management situations, he also provides specialist training for on scene response and crisis management teams. Last year Mr Davis achieved Technical Expert status by the Business Continuity Institute.

Mr Davis has worked with government agencies and non-governmental organisations in developing disaster mitigation measures for major events.

He said: “It is a great opportunity for me to be responsible for one of Altor’s regions, which will also undoubtedly bring its own challenges. It is a region where we have experienced strong growth and have found a real need for the expert services we provide.”

Established in July 2010 by Jim Walker, Altor Risk Group has offices in Aberdeen, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Perth,Australia. The company provides a complete risk management service and has secured work from organisations around the world including major and midcap international oil companies and national oil companies, with operations extending over 18 countries.
