Fourth Business Economic Forum In Harare
By Own Correspondent – The American Business Association of Zimbabwe, through Just Business will hold its fourth Business Economic Forum later this month in Harare, Zimbabwe. The theme this year is ‘From Economic Stabilisation to Growth’.
Keynote speakers include Prof. Mervin King of the King Commission and Mr. Greg Lebedev, Chairman of the Centre for International Private Enterprise in Washington.
Speaker: Prof. Mervin King, King Commission – Corporate governance in South Africa Prof. King will be dealing with the need for transparency in business in the new economic environment in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa more broadly.
Prof. King is a Senior Council and former Judge of the Supreme Court of South Africa. He is Professor Extraordinaire at the University of South Africa on Corporate Citizenship, Honorary Professor in the Department of Marketing and Communication Management at the University of Pretoria, Visiting Professor in the Rhodes Investec Business School, has an honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of the Witwatersrand, is Chairman of the King Committee on Corporate Governance in South Africa, President of the Advertising Standards Authority, First Vice President of the Institute of Directors Southern Africa and Deputy Chairman of the Securities Regulation Panel which oversees all mergers and acquisitions in South Africa.
