Ghana: Offshore West Africa 2013 confirms West African Ministers for Opening Keynote
International Conference Centre, Accra, Ghana – 27 February 2013; PennWell Corporation and Offshore West Africa Conference & Exhibition are pleased to announce the confirmation of three West African Ministers to present at the upcoming Conference Opening Keynote, taking place on Tuesday 19th March 2013.
As part of the Opening Keynote Session, there will be Ministry Welcomes from Hon. Minister, Hon. Emmanuel Armah‐Kofi Buah, Republic of Ghana; His Excellency Mr. José Botelho de Vasconcelos, Minster of Petroleum, Republic of Angola; and Mr. Adama Toungara, Minister of Mines, Petroleum and Energy, Republic of Cote d’Ivoire.
Taking place at the International Conference Centre, Accra, Ghana on 19‐21 March, under the Patronage of the Ministry of Energy, Republic of Ghana, and Endorsed by the Petroleum Commission of Ghana, the 17th annual Offshore West Africa will once again address key technology and development issues for the West African offshore oil and gas market, through a comprehensive educational program and three‐day exhibition, under the theme – Deepwater Discoveries, Emerging Opportunities.
Joining the Ministers as part of the Opening Keynote Session will be David Paganie, Chief Editor, Offshore Magazine, PennWell Corporation, providing a Welcome and Introduction; Chairman’s Remarks from Theo Ahwireng, Geophysics Manager, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation; and Dr. Juliette Twumasi‐Anokye, Legal Advisor and Co‐ordinator, Local Content, Petroleum Commission, Ghana discussing Local Content Developments. This will be followed by the Exhibition Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
