Keys to securing a solar REIPPPP project in South Africa’s next round of bidding revealed
A webinar taking place on the 2nd of July is set to reveal the key factors which could form a solar project winning bid in the upcoming South African REIPPPP Round 4.
Davin Chown Chairperson of the South African Photovoltaic Association (SAPVIA) and Marc Levre Partner at REIPPPP advisors Baker & McKenzie are the webinar participants. They have been selected for their exceptional knowledge of the REIPPPP and the key trends which have emerged from the programme so far.
Competition among project developers is heating up ahead of the REIPPPP Round 4 bid registration date on the 21st of July and bid submission on the 18th of August.
The aim of the webinar is to educate participants about the key trends and changes which have occurred in the first three round of the REIPPPP. There have been significant changes in the way project procurement and site selection take place and these need to be factored into any new bid.
The South African Governments REIPPPP has been a key driver in growing the industry by over 1GW of capacity in past three years. The exponential growth of the market has made it a hot bed for inward investment and many developers have entered the market.
