Zimbabwean hit movie “The Gentleman ” to premiere in the UK

Executive Producer Sylvia Chimhina has confirmed that the lead actors from Zimbabwe’s first action crime drama, South African actor Presley Chweneyagae of “Tsotsi” fame and Munya Chidzonga from Big Brother Africa  will be attending the glamorous red carpet premiere at the Prince Charles Cinema in London’s Leicester Sq on Saturday 24 March 2012. Zimbawe: Activist questions commitment to HIV research targeted at women

Harare: An HIV/ AIDS activist on Tuesday questioned the commitment to funding HIV prevention research targeted at women but encouraged young female scientists to complete ongoing initiatives. “The most unfortunate thing about most of these researches is that if it is anything to do with women and girls, there is little funding that goes towards that and the research at times does not finish,” said Mary Sandasi, director of the Women and AIDS Support Network (WASN). Afro TV, the ground-breaking UK-based online television station, has announced its show list ahead of its launch at the end of the month.
