By Nangayi Guyson – Harare –  Zimbabwe’s  minister says is making efforts to increase security on its government websites to prevent cyber attacks. On its website, a cyber activist group called Anonymous says it brought down Zimbabwe websites last week to protest the government’s censorship of free press and Wiki Leaks cables. President Robert Mugabe’s wife has sued a newspaper that published Wiki Leaks reports implicating her in illegal diamond deals. Burundi: suspected gangs abduct young albinos

By Nangayi Guyson – Bujumbura –  Suspected gangs with links to Tanzanian witch doctors kidnapped a five-month-old albino girl and chopped off a young albino boy’s arm in Burundi during the New Year night, officials said on Saturday. The suspected gangs attacked a family on Vumwe hill in Kinyinya and abducted a newborn girl aged barely five months,” said local justice official Nicodeme Gahimbare. “They fled toward the nearby Tanzanian border. Ivory Coast :Laurent Gbagbo rejects resignation deadline

By Nangayi Guyson – Ivory Coast’s incumbent President Laurent Gbagbo has rejected a deadline set by his rival for him to stand down, saying the international community is trying to stage a coup against him. Alassane Ouattara’s supporters said Mr Gbagbo would have “no difficulties” if he resigned before 0000 GMT on Friday but  Mr Gbagbo said the country could face greater violence if he were to leave office. Egypt: Deadly blast at Egyptian church leave 21 dead

By Nangayi Guyson – At least 21 people have been killed by a car bomb explosion outside a church in the north Egyptian city of Alexandria and leaving  43 injured, officials say. The blast hit worshipers as they were celebrating  a new year’s service at the al-Qidiseen church shortly after midnight. Myers – The Liberian Government has announced a drastic tax reduction as part of efforts to improve the living standards of the Liberian people and foreign residents beginning January 1, 2011. The tax reduction, according to the Liberian Government is part of its Economic Policy and the Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS).
