Gambia: Lang Tombong & Co appeal against death sentence

Gen Lang Tombong Tamba and seven others convicted with him on Monday appeared at the Gambia court of appeal, before which they had filed an appeal against the death sentence imposed on them by the High Court in Banjul. The other appellants are Brigadier General Omar Bun Mbye, Colonel Lamin Bo Badjie, Lt Colonel Kawsu Camara, former Deputy Inspector General of Police Modou Gaye, former diplomat Gibril Ngorr Secka,  Abdoulie Joof, a businessman, and Youssef Ezzideen alias Rambo, also a businessman. Gambia: Pristine Consulting Boss ‘wanted’

By Own Correspondent – A statement issued by the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDEA) yesterday revealed that Abdourahman Touray, Chief Executive Officer of Pristine Consulting is “Wanted” by the authorities. The statement, issued by the office of the Director General of the NDEA, urged the general public to report Mr Touray to the nearest police station if found. The NDEA also warned the public that anyone found harbouring Mr Touray will be dealt with according to law.
