Women in Leadership Symposium to benefit Annie Walsh Memorial School

Annie Walsh Memorial School Student Recipients of AWOGA NY&NJ Scholarship 2015-16

The New York/New Jersey Chapter of the Annie Walsh Old Girls Association (AWOGA) will host an inaugural symposium on Women in Leadership on Saturday 9 July, 4:30pm – 10:00pm, at the Great Hall, Shepard Hall, City College City University of New York (CUNY). The symposium which is in partnership with Colin Powell School for Civic & Global Leadership, the Grove School of Engineering, and the Department of Psychology, City College of New York/CUNY will offer participants an opportunity to share and discuss ideas, experiences, and research through poster sessions, spotlight presentations and a panel discussion.

The issue of poor sanitation in and Monrovia remains a serious problem, especially with millions on United States dollars pumped by the World Bank. The Project approved November 13, 2019, will be ending December 30, 2016. The million dollar question is: "Has the World Bank Sanitation Project achieve?" Huge piles of garbage can be seen across Monrovia with little or no efforts from those charged with the responsibility to ensure the piles of garbage are removed.

The #OrlandoShooting is a reflection of the societies we live in, whether it’s in the US, South Africa or Brazil. This comfort transcends geo-boundaries as best as we know them.
