Canada concerned by violence in Zimbabwe

Canada’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe Lisa Stadelbauer today issued the following statement: “Canada is increasingly concerned by recent acts of violence against political figures in Zimbabwe. “We call on all political parties to demonstrate leadership by taking resolute actions to speak out against violence and intimidation. This includes engaging in open dialogue and demonstrating respect for diversity of views. “All Zimbabweans, including politicians and members of civil society have the fundamental right to freedom of expression as guaranteed by the Constitution. “Canada calls for these rights to be respected and adhered to. We will continue to closely  monitor the situation.”

Concentrated solar power (CSP) is the only renewable technology that can dispatch electricity during day and night at a utility scale size. Botswana Stock Exchange appoints South African graduate as deputy head

An alumnus of the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business (UCT GSB) has been appointed deputy CEO of The Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE), the BSE has announced. Thapelo Tsheole’s new role took effect this February and he will work closely with current CEO, Hiran Mendis.
