By Special Correspondent, Addis Ababa – President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete of Tanzania on Saturday joined other African leaders to participate in the Forum-the highest policy making gathering of Heads of States and Governments participating in the African Union governance assessment body-the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM). The Forum which among other things, issues all policy guidelines on how best to govern the Mechanism also receives and deliberates upon all country governance reports and monitor implementation. NEC Senior Staff Tour South Africa Electoral Commission

(NEC/Monrovia/July 15, 2012) About ten senior staff from various departments of the National Elections Commission (NEC) of Liberia left the country over the weekend to undertake a two-week comprehensive study tour of the electoral commission of the Republic of South Africa. The study tour which is expected to run from July 16 to the 27 is part of the NEC continuous capacity building activities of its core electoral staff.
