Amnesty International Southern Africa Regional Director Deprose Muchena has blamed austerity budgets by some Southern African countries for stifling socio-economic rights of citizens.

The Evangelical Congressional Church of Liberia has ended a week long annual conference in Tumanburg, Bomi County.
The gathering brought together member churches and international guests from the United States of America, including Rev. Randy Sizemore, Director of Global Ministries – E.C. Church-USA/of the World, Rev Rick Seigi of the Bethlehem E.C. Church in the US and some pastors from Ghana.
Issues pertaining to the upliftment of the church in Liberia were discussed over the one week period with decisions reached by delegates.
