Ugandan President denies asylum offer to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi

By Nangayi Guyson – KAMPALA (31-03-2011) –Ugandan President Museveni last night  denied  reports that his government was ready to offer  Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi asylum if it was requested and described such reports as “utter rubbish.”   This comes after Wednesday’s  Al Arabiya news, Al Jazeera TV channel, and other media  reports that the Ugandan government was  willing to offer Muammar Gaddafi  asylum  if he requests for it. Ivory Coast: Pro-Ouattara fighters battle to enter capital

By Nangayi Guyson – Abidjan – Fighting broke out on Wednesday between forces loyal to internationally recognised Ivory Coast president Alassane Ouattara as  his troops entered Ivory Coast’s capital, residents of Yamoussoukro. Alassane Ouattara  forces have been fighting  from the north and incumbent leader Laurent Gbagbo has appealed for a ceasefire. Mr Gbagbo refuses to stand down despite the UN saying he lost November’s poll. Uganda to offer Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi asylum if requested

By Nangayi Guyson – CAIRO (30-03-2011)–  On Wednesday Al Arabiya news Agency reported that the Ugandan government is willing to offer Muammar Gaddafi  asylum  if he requests for it. This comes after The West and other states suggested the Libyan leader should go into exile to end the conflict in his country. Libyan Official condemns intervention of West
