1 TALENT MUJAJI
My name is Talent Mujaji. I am 20-yr-old Zimbabwean dancer, model and actress. I do all these things because they, combined, are my passion. I am also studying Business. I believe strongly in educating children which is why I support a charity called “Project Yedu” which helps children in Zimbabwe get educated. I also would love to promote racial harmony in the world and make the rest of the world appreciate the different backgrounds that others come from. My passion also lies in my country, Zimbabwe, a country that deserves a second chance, an opportunity to be heard. The beauty of it is undermined and I am here to portray it to the world through Miss Zim Diamond. We are all equally beautiful and capable, let’s share our resources. Let the world UNITE.
2 LORRAINE CHINOURIRI
I am a 22year old Christian & I am the Founder and Managing Director of a Recruitment Agency called Young Eagles which I founded 4 months ago which helps young people improve their job prospects and offers assistance into employment. I am in my last year at Middlesex University were I’m studying International Business Administration and Marketing. I also hold a Diploma in Business Management. I mentor my peers advising them in areas of Business, Lifestyle and Goal Setting & I plan to train as a Life Coach after my studies. My other passion is Skin Care & I am currently in the process of developing my own skin care range, launching in 2012. My interests include keeping fit to maintain a healthy lifestyle & my hobbies include spending time with my tight knit family, reading, hairdressing, modelling, watching films and writing blogs. I have a deep rooted love for Zimbabwe and Miss ZimDiamond has given me a platform to market my country’s beauty. People can not fully appreciate something they have not experienced, they need to experience Zimbabwe for them to understand why 12years after I left my country, I am still in love with my culture, my food, my people…Our Nation.
3 ASHLEIGH CLOETE
I am a student studying a Bsc Sports Coaching course at Southampton Solent University, aged 23 & born in Bulawayo. I am also a Patron & Ambassador of the Lemba Children’s Charity in rural Mberengwa, in Zimbabwe, which assists in promoting and enhancing educational needs for orphans. I’ve participated in a few Pageants in Zimbabwe, Miss Chaplin 2003 and Miss Teen Bulawayo 2005. In the UK I won Miss ACSUK 2009 & also represented Zimbabwe at the Miss Intercontinental 2009 finals, in Belarus. My favourite hobbies being Basketball and Athletics, but also enjoy coaching basketball in the community, where I also plan to continue working with the charities that I am involved in. My future goals are to empower young women who participate in the pageant industry.
4 PEARL DOHERTY
My name is Pearl-Natasha Doherty. I am a young driven educated woman. I believe that my background as a junior political representative in Northern Ireland, as well as spending my youth as an international athlete for Ireland, Northern Ireland & Great Britain has taught me on how to be a respectable principled ambassador, especially when looking at empowering prospects for our growing generation & naturally, to uphold my passion for improvements in my country. For me, the platform created by Miss ZimDiamond means more than just being a title holder it is the chance to represent my country in a fundamental step towards bringing Zimbabwe back onto the centre stage through media and cultural initiative, all with positive connotations.
5 CHELSEA CHIPATO
I am an out going young lady who upholds highly respectable morals. Humility is one of my proudest virtues. I’m currently on a journey towards achieving a degree in midwifery. My hobbies include enjoying a day at the cinemas, hanging out with friends, reading books and attending social & educational events. I look forward to the challenges that will come with being in the spotlight through Miss Zim diamond and working closely with charities and other public figures.
6 NGONI NAMATE
My name is Ngoni Namate and I am 19 years old. I was born in Gweru, Zimbabwe and now reside in Edinburgh, Scotland where I attend university. I am currently studying Business Studies and Public Law and hope to then go on to do International Studies as I am very interested in what is happening in the world around me. I am a fun-loving, outgoing person and my friends would describe me as loud, funny and smart. One of my biggest passions in this world is music. I have been singing for as long as I can remember and writing songs is what picks me up when I’m down and highlights the good times. I also love to dance, I’m not the best at it but enjoy nothing more than a good shake and jump about. I am so honoured to be a part of the Zim Diamond family as it has given me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful girls that I probably would not have met otherwise. I look forward to sharing my love and experiences of my country with everyone on the final night.
7 ELIZABETH JABANGWE
My Name is Elizabeth Jabangwe I am a student at Kingston University studying Management in Early years. I am also a voluntary Nursery Nurse. I hold a diploma in child care. I enjoy dancing, swimming, reading during my spare time. My passion is modelling and I enjoy doing catwalks. I am also a Mary Kay make up consultant. I am a God fearing, humble, lovely, bubbly young women. I enjoy spending time working with young children. I would like to use the Miss Zim Diamond platform to empower other young women like myself.
8 BELINDA MUSEMBURI
Apart from beauty that prides me, I am a very confident and talented woman who is so passionate of portraying the positive side of Zimbabwe through beauty, charity work and creativity. As a person I have got passion for media that is writing, filming, directing and acting and it has always been my desire to use all those qualities to share my knowledge and experience to anyone who is willing to be educated and inspired through my creativity. I am a very strong and ambitious individual who always aim for higher goals in life and through hard working, self believe and dedication the sky is the limit. I look forward to using Miss Zim Diamond as a platform to use my skills and share them with a wider group of people.,
9 DIOLEEN MUPONDA
My name is Dioleen Ratidzo Muponda. I am 21years of age and 5″9 tall. l was born in Harare and grew up in Manchester. Currently l am a full time student at Manchester Metropolitain University studying Business Management. Also work part time. Am so passionate about Miss Zimdiamond and it will mean the World to me to win the show and to be able to represent Zimbabweans in the UK or even all over the World.
10 MUTSA SIBANDA
My name is Mutsa Sibanda and I’m 21 years old. I originate from the city of Bulawayo but have been residing in the UK since I was 14. I’m currently in my second year of training as a Mental Health Nurse at the University of Surrey. Outside my University life I enjoy spending time with family and friends, taking part in sporting activities and artistic design including fashion. I’m a loving and caring individual and have always had a passion for helping others in need and competing in pageants from a young age. Subsequently I am hoping to facilitate this passion through both my studies and competing in Miss Zim Diamond. Winning Miss Zim Diamond will be a dream come true as it will open doors giving me the opportunity to fulfil my platform.
11) ANITA MOYO
My name is Anita Fikile Moyo, I am 18 and currently studying ‘A’ Levels in business and psychology. I am looking forward to achieving a Masters in Business Marketing & Management. Earlier this year I took part in Miss Valentine 2011 which was hosted by KLM and I was crowned second princess. I have been part of dancing groups which include Afro Drum Generation (ADG), dancing traditional dances to a live beat of drums and marimba. I am also a back up dancer for Oluhle, who has a hit on her single Fugama Unamathe.
Being a part of Miss Zim diamond has been a great experience so far, with the excitement of making it through to the finals! This is just the beginning. Miss Zim Diamond has taught me a lot about responsibility and how to be a lady in general, it takes me back to the roots of my African, Zimbabwean culture. I love being a part of it and I hope to continue walking the runway in future!!
12 PATIENCE MAGADZIRE
At 21 years of age, I am an ambitious, independent and hardworking Zimbabwean, humbled & moulded by my culture. As I am progressing to the third year of my law degree, it is evident that education is one of the most important aspects of my life. ‘Learn and progress’ is a moto I learnt at my primary school (Zimbabwe), and has remained my moto today. I strive to be successful in all that I do, so as to be a role model to my fellow Zimbabwean youths. I aim to use Miss Zim Diamond as platform to be that role model.
13 WHITNEY JONES
I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe in 1989. My dream started at the age of 12 when I was crowned MISS AVONDALE PRIMARY, the school I attended in Harare. A couple of years after, while residing in Johannesburg South Africa, in my best efforts, I approached Stone Agency Africa Model Management but failed to reach my goal because of educational commitments. In 2007 at the age of 18, in London England, I was approached by an agency called Little Adults. I also worked with Dynamic Models Modelling Agency who I have done promotional jobs for. After seeing an advert on Facebook, I decided to audition for Miss Zim Diamond 2011 which went well for me as I managed to go through to the Semi-Finals and then to the Finals. I have been involved in charity work. In December 2009, I volunteered to work for a British Heart Foundation furniture shop in my local area for two weeks. My hobbies include socialising and meeting different people from different backgrounds; sporting activities i.e volley ball, basket ball, hockey and horse riding; watching the news and catching up with the rest of the world;!
