Young Designer Opens Exclusive Flagship In Sandton
JOHANNESBURG – Emerging South African Abigail Keats officially opens her exclusive flagship boutique in Sandton at the new Nedbank Building on 29th June 2010.
This is a progressive and exciting development for this young and talented designer, who has been highly acclaimed over the past 3 years through her participation in the Audi, Johannesburg and Arise Africa Fashion weeks and who currently offers a well sought after private client service.
“The launch of my own label and establishment of an exclusive boutique is part of my long term goal of establishing an internationally acclaimed label that is proudly South African”.
Keats who was recently identified by the Mail and Guardian survey, as one of “200 Young South Africans you must take to lunch—” says “I am greatly encouraged and inspired by the many young South African entrepreneurs who are taking up the challenge of starting small businesses and who, I believe, are the future backbone of our country. This dynamic cyber networked family is developing a whole new approach in the form of personal sharing and co-operative business relationships”.
She continues “It is however not easy to start a new venture in these times and the supporting roll of Government and Established Business is crucial in providing constructive mechanisms to help the young generation on their entrepreneurial journey.” Keats, who has been invited by the Department of Arts and Culture to showcase her brand, representing South Africa in October at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, says “this is an example of an excellent initiative by the South African Government to promote awareness and business opportunities for young South Africans. She concludes, “Of course, the ultimate requirement is that the South African public recognizes and supports our young South African Businesses”
Keats describes what her clients can expect… “Abigail Keats is an exclusive contemporary fashion label, which caters to women who look to infuse style, glamour and sophistication into their wardrobes and lifestyle. It embodies bespoke fashion and draws inspiration from both the contemporary and the classical”.
She expands further… “My designs offer something special for all occasions and whether one chooses from the latest seasonal collection, Prêt-à -Porter range or indulges in once off designs tailored to individual specifications, superb attention to detail, fit and quality is assured through my personal attention.”
Keats goes on to explain “the philosophy of my approach to business is based on building strong and personal relationships with clients and suppliers that engenders mutual respect and adds value beyond the intrinsic aspect of my creations.”
The opening of the boutique will feature Keats’s current collection. An open invitation is extended to all who wish to meet and acquaint them selves with the designer.
