GHANA: GET READY FOR ‘Adams Apple’ from Shirley Frimpong Manso

Diverting from the normal full story, she goes in for a novelty movie chapters probably the first of its kind in Ghana. The 10 chapter movie series is a master piece of international standard .It is expected to finish in February 2012 as she will release in chapters from now to next year .Each chapter will open at cinema every month over a 12-month period. The grand premier of the first chapter will be on 21st April, 2011 at the National Theatre and all subsequent chapters release consecutively at the Silverbird Cinema in the Accra Mall.
Known for her perfect storyline, unique directing ability and production standard, after months in the doldrums she’s back to make a statement again, as she is a force to reckon with when it comes to movies.
Starting next week Ghana and Africa should get ready to see what she has brought again, from the stables of Sparrow Production comes “Adams Apple” written and directed by Shirley Frimpong Manso and produced by Ken Attoh.
The synopsis: The series is set in the hustle and bustle of the city of Accra and its suburbs with glimpse of exciting metropolis of London .The series follows the lives of four “Adams” Ghanaian women ,the widowed,ex-diplomate’s wife and her three daughters in their early and mid thirties. They worked through domestic struggles, family life and personal battles to achieve success and happiness in a fast changing, 21st centaury Ghana where love can elude the hopeless romantic, victory can scorn the hardworking and marriage can be illusion. The Adams seeks all these and more from life and each other.
A visit by Shout-Africa reporter to Sparrow Production office in the capital city of Accra, meet the office busy with key persons to talk to in meeting. As the project was under way since last year ending and now it is time to see, what she has in stored for Ghana and Africa.
