Ghana: Stars of the Future Season 5 -Rolls out soon
By Peterking Quaye – MTN, SOF organisers are optimistic of the successes of the yet to be launched event and are preparing to pull lots of surprises for one of Ghana’s leading singing reality show.
Events organizers of the prestigious music reality competition-Charterhouse , Stars of the Future, are finalising things to launch season 5 of the series that has contribute immensely to music industry of Ghana ,and lead to starm young stars like Irene, Efya, Bertha and Adina.
The launch which opens the TV series is scheduled for Wednesday February 16, 2011 and will see the unveiling of the 12 talented contestants drawn from the nationwide search last year. The final 12 are a result of three rounds of auditions the last of which was held in the studio with 30 delegates.
As explained by organizers, the series skipped 2010 to accommodate the first World Cup held in Africa.
After the games, organizers thought it wise to wait and begin the year with the series so that all its attention will be geared towards developing the talents into future stars who will take over and own the music industry in Ghana.
Being the fifth in the series, SOF 5, is expected to come along with many more angles give viewers 13 solid weeks of thrills and excitement. Regarded as Ghana’s answer to the American Idol show, Stars of the Future has become a relevant television series attracting a large following across the nation and beyond.
Over the years, Stars of the Future has become a platform for budding talents to harness their skills and also realize their dreams of becoming mainstream musicians. The list of talents discovered through the competition from the successful maiden edition include Irene Logan, Efya, Justice, Adina and Bertha.
Stars of the Future has become relevant to the Ghanaian music scene and many of the contestants have moved on from the series to make a name for themselves wherever they are found that as seen by the exploits of past contestants like Justice who is
currently plying his trade outside the shores of Ghana.
Both radio and television, will air the series, watch out.
