Zimbabwe: Another Hip Hop star is born
By Alan Rushesha – Upcoming young talented musician Maxwell Mawire has proved to the country that he could be the next icon for Hip Hop after releasing a 10 track album called M2K which has received airplay on the local waves.
More and more professional hip-hop artists are coming out of the joinery and Max Mawire is one of this new breed that has hit the streets of Zimbabwe.
The 19-year-old star’s music represents the very best of Zimbabwe’s young, urban music scene and draws on a variety of sway ranging from culture and Hip Hop style.
Hip Hop is gaining new ground in the Zim music scene and the young artist is hopeful that he will make inroads in the music scene.
“I think the future is very brilliant and for the longest time, success has been coming my way. I see a lot of people working hard and the quality of music, videos and the game as a whole is improving. I think this was a perfect timing for dropping my album because now things are coming together,” said Mawire.
Shortly after releasing his first album, the talented artist is working on the second album named After Life. He is one of the brilliant people who are managing both music and education at the same time.
