Zimbabwe: Deep Roots continue to make waves

The youthful ensemble that has turned Midlands Hotel their resident as artist left revellers begging for more after an impressive stage performance recently putting up an impressive show.

Deep Roots is currently dishing out jams from Mumwe their debut album which was launched mid last year.

In an interview with shout-africa.com, Yulesis Katoto said the ensemble is making remarkable head ways in reaching out to its dearly fans around the province. “We are making serous networking with various recording companies and promoters which has resulted in several deals”.

“The deals will see us performing in various up market out lets across the country” said Katoto.

This on its own is a sign that Deep Roots is now sealing into the main stream.“ On plans to reach out to other provinces Katoto said, “We actually have a deal that is yet to be completed, this deal will see Deep Roots flying us with some of Zimbabwe’s top seasoned artist.”

 “With our music we simply want to afford something for everyone, we capture the jazz fusion and combine it with an authentic traditional touch to give it life.

“Our music is simply based on morals, appreciation, praise delivered in a humble way, with a substance that sends signals of maturity. We want people to appreciate our music and allow it to be classified with that strong filament from the Midlands” Katoto said.

However the radiance Deep Roots music can be drawn from their substantial themes that range love, entertains, advising, recalling memories of youth days among other topical issues affecting people on day to day basis.
