Zimbabwe: Hip Hop acts: Black Bird, Tatea in “romantic” affair?
By Shout-Africa Correspondent – HARARE – Female rap artist Black Bird’s new upcoming video called “Waiting For Love” has already put the rap industry on hold, sparking rumours she might be “dating” award-winning rapper Tatea Da MC who features in the video.

Speculation commenced during the video shoot where the two were said to be enjoying each other’s company on set.
The highly anticipated video set to be released online on Monday 28 October, is said to be characterized by cosy scenes between Black Bird and Tatea.
If the excitement caused by industry rumours is anything to go by, then this budding romance will soon propel the celebrity couple’s status to reach that of Zimbabwe’s own “Jay-Z and Beyonce”.
In her new single “Waiting For Love” is Black Bird “waiting” for Tatea’s love? And if so, is Tatea’s song “Could You Be The One” be about Black Bird? If not, then why would Black Bird feature Tatea in the video, out of all the rappers that she could have chosen from?
Though Black Bird could not be drawn into revealing the nature of their relationship, signs are that the two might have gone beyond having a professional working relationship and ventured into something
more.
Investigations by Shout-Africa unearthed that soon after the “romantic” video shoot, the pair has been spotted together on various occasions together at several events and entertainment joints.
The pair were recently spotted at the this year’s Shoko Festival, where Black Bird was dressed in a sexy white dress, while Tatea who was accompanied by his goons was in an all-black suit.
Tatea also reportedly pitched up to see Black Bird perform at The Management Group’s company launch which was held on the 11th of October at Alliance Francaise.
The female rapper who recently signed a management deal with the newly formed entertainment agency, lit up the stage in a sleek orange dress as she hosted the event and treated the crowd to an electric performance with Bongo Love.
The event was attended by numerous players in the music industry who all showed intrigue at the couple’s closeness, fuelling speculation over their love relationship.
There are also claims that steamy Whatsapp messages exchanged between the two including photos, have been leaked after the “Wanna Be” and “Dollar Rand Naira” hit-maker lost her mobile phone at Shoko Festival.
Black Bird’s official Facebook page is awash with pictures of herself and her presumed beau, an act which has got industry cats asking questions about what’s going on between “Queen of the Game” and the “H-Town King”.
“Kasi makudanana?” (Are you guys now dating), posted Rehab Entertainment producer, Anonzi Xndr Mutumha on one of their photos.
To further cement the allegations of a brewing romance, Black Bird has just dumped her former stable Mix-Masterz who are wedged in beef with MMT (Tatea’s Crew).
Could this be a professional decision or has Black Bird’s relationship with Tatea caused the split due to the beef that exists between her former producer Shayzar and her “man.
