Zimbabwe: Svitsa a tool for successful weddings: Nyasha Gurure
By Ronnie Chisamba – The chief executive officer and founder of the first free online wedding magazine in Zimbabwe, Nyasha Gurure (25) believes the magazine can be a helpful tool in planning successful weddings. Nyasha made the remarks at an elegant ceremony to celebrate the official launch of the third edition of the magazine on Wednesday evening in the capital, Harare, last week.
“The idea behind Svitsa is to assist brides, grooms and wedding planners in organizing beautiful and memorable events. Svitsa is a Shona word which translates to dignified and blissful matrimony. We have embraced culture, tradition and modernity, “said the young entrepreneur.
Nyasha took the opportunity to thank family, friends and the business community for the support they have rendered to the continued success of the magazine. She also expressed gratitude to the editorial team.
“Many may misinterpret Svitsa as solely a Nyasha Gurure story, but this is not true. The magazine is a result of tireless and resilient efforts by each and every one of us here present, “she pointed out as she introduced the editorial team to the gathering.
Established in January this year, the magazine is produced quarterly. Every copy of Svitsa gives an in-depth look at what it takes to make weddings successful and memorable.
