eLearning Africa Photo Competition 2011 attracts significant interest
Submissions can be made until April 21
Berlin, Germany. Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The 2nd eLearning Africa Photo Competition has met with a fantastic response. Dozens of photo enthusiasts from across Africa have submitted inspiring pictures since this year’s contest opened last month. eLearning Africa is the largest pan-African conference on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) for Development, Education and Training, which will take place from May 25th – 27th in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
“Capture this! How ICTs are empowering people across Africa” is the theme for 2011. Photographers are asked to enter their best images to show how Information and Communication Technologies have made a real difference to the way people live, learn and work in Africa. Contributions from all walks of life and all sectors are welcome – be it health, agriculture, business, community life or education.
The closing date for all submissions is April 21st, 2011. All entries will be judged by a specially selected expert panel. The winners will be announced on the eLearning Africa website.
Prizes include a high-quality digital camera, an energy-efficient netbook and a camcorder. The top ten photos will be featured in the exhibition at the eLearning Africa 2011 conference. They will also be included in a colour exhibit booklet. Selected images will be showcased on the eLearning Africa website.
