UK: The shortlist for the South Africa Achievers Awards

Skweyiya, Pienaar make the SAAA nominee shortlist

Footballer Steven Pienaar who now plays for Everton FC has been shortlisted for a South African Achiever Award. The wife of South Africa’s High Commissioner in the UK Mrs Thuthukile Skweyiya is to be honoured with the prestigious chairman’s award.

South Africans in the UK have spoken and well over 200 nominations were received by the South African Achievers Awards for their first ever event. The nominee shortlist was announced at Global Career Company’s London office on 1st Feb 2013 at SAAA’s media launch.

On the 6th April 2013 patrons will be treated to a champagne reception, three course meal, wine, a fashion show and a great selection of entertainment by local SA artists at the prestigious Cumberland Hotel in London. The awards presentation evening, hosted by Pamela Nomvete, is set to be stylish and sophisticated affair, a real celebration South African style with the red carpet rolled out.
