FamilyRadio Claims The World Will End On May 21, 2011
BY Novell Zwange- JOHANNESBURG – The US-based Christian radio ministry, FamilyRadio has sparked some controversy in South Africa following its distribution of fliers entitled, The End of the World Is Almost Here! HOLY GOD Will Bring Judgement Day On May 11, 2011″
The radio which broadcasts in more than 50 languages worldwide and says it has ‘no church affiliation’, recently dispatched loads of volunteers to hand out fliers in and around the city of Johannesburg.
“The world is Correct in believing that Judgement Day will come. The Bible gives us the correct and accurate information about that Day,” read the fliers.
Some several experts from across the globe are also predicting that the earth is likely to end by the year 2012. The reason could be a human effect or natural disaster. From Chinese theories to scientific predictions the most likely date is the year 2012.
Family Radio says, “In 2 Peter 3:8, Holy God reminds us that one day is as 1000 years. Therefore, with the correct understanding that thee seven days referred to in Genesis 7:4 can be understood as 7000 years, we learn that when God told Noah there were seven days to escape worldwide destruction, H was also telling the world there would be exactly 7000years (one day is as 1000 years) to escape the wrath of God that would come when He destroys the world on Judgement Day.”
“Seven thousand years after 4990B.C. (the year of the Flood) is the year 2011 A.D. (our calender)” 4990+2011-1=7000
“Because the year 2011 A.D is exactly 7000 years after 4990 B.C. when the flood began, the Bible has given us absolute proof that the year 2011 is the end of the world during the Day of Judgement, which will come on the last day of the Day of Judgement”
“Amazingly, May 21, 2011 is the 17th day of the 2nd month of the Biblical calendar of our day. Remember the flood waters also began on the 17th day of the 2nd month, in the year 4990B.C.”
Family Radio further claims, that “The Holy Bible gives several additional astounding proofs that May 21, 2011 is very accurate as the time for the Day of Judgement.”
But Merinews turned to proffer a diverging view, “There has been so many prophecies, scientific predictions, environmental changes, changing behavioural pattern of the society as a whole, spread of dreaded viruses, religious intolerance, growing militancy – all these show a very gloomy future for mankind.”
