Liberia: Equity Assurance Identifies With Tubman University
..Donates Several Refrigerators – Authorities of Equity Assurance Limited have donated several refrigerators to the Administration of William V.S. Tubman University located in Harper, Maryland County.
Marking the presentation over the weekend at the Monrovia Office on the University in Sinkor, the Board Chairman of Equity Assurance Limited Dr. Nathaniel Barnes, said the donation was his entity’s cooperate social responsibility, to develop, improve customer care and relations with important clients.
He said the five refrigerators provided to the administration by his entity is a sign of his entity’s efforts in giving back to the society.
Dr. Barnes said that the donation will contribute to the advancement of academic work at the University.
He indicated that the donation is just the first of many assistance Tubman University is expected to benefit from the Equity Assurance Company.
The Equity Assurance Company Board Chairman further indicated that the management and the staff were pleased to identify with the Tubman university by donating such a gift to enhance the academic activities of the university.
He further disclosed that the Management of Equity Assurance Company is prepared to engage with the University in discussing the establishment of the Equity Assurance Scholarship Fund.
Dr. Barnes said the fund will be an annual award with the aimed of assisting students who are in dire need of educational support.
Dr. Barnes further said the Equity Assurance Company is looking forward in work collaboratively with the Tubman University in providing services that would contribute to learning condition at the University.
Also, speaking at symbolic ceremony, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Equity Assurance Company, Thomas Woart indicated that his entity has identified several areas at the University where it can be of great assistance to the Tubman University.
He asserted that during his visit to the University, the administration made request that they needed ten refrigerators for the use of the faculty.
Mr. Woart said based on the request, his entity decided to assist Tubman University with the five refrigerators.
The CEO disclosed that his entity will also contemplating of rendering an assistance to the up keep of the clinic.
Mr. Woart said it is vital for every Marylander who is opportune to assist the University.
He further narrated that the learning environment of the students is conducive with more students obtaining high honor at the Tubman University.
Receiving the donation on behalf of Tubman University, the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Rev. Rita Townsend thanked the management of Equity Assurance Company for such a timely donation.
Rev. Townsend said the University family is grateful to the relationship that has been cultivated with the Equity Assurance.
She indicated the university has adapted what she calls their mission to transform lives through quality education.
Dr. Townsend further expressed satisfaction of the decision of Equity Assurance to establish a scholarship fund drive for students of the University.
The University’s Vice President extolled the Management Equity Assurance Company for expressing interest in two graduates of Tubman University-College of Management and Administration in providing job opportunity for them.
Equity Assurance Company is providing services in medical, life assurance, motor, workers compensation, public liability among others.
