Sierra Leone: President Koroma signs Serry Kamal’s Book of Condolence
President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma on Thursday 30th January visited the All People’s Congress Headquarters and signed the book of condolence honouring the late Hon. Abdul Franklin Serry Kamal.
Shortly before signing the book of condolence, President Koroma praised Hon. Serry Kamal for his loyalty and commitment to the APC. He said the late man didn’t join the party for the benefits that accompanied such membership. “I will equate the role Serry Kamal played to the role of the founding fathers of the party,” the president asserted.
“His stubbornness in 1996 was what brought the APC back to power,” he said and noted that some people even left the APC and either joined or formed other political parties back then. “Without loyalty, commitment and motivation, Serry Kamal could not have done what he did.”
President Koroma called on family members to present a portrait of the late comrade which will be hung in the main hall at the party’s HQ at Old Railway Line, Brookfields.
