Nigeria: President says single term bill not jettisoned
By Correspondent Chinyere Ogbonna – The Presidency says it has not dropped the proposed single tenure bill, saying it is still at the level of ideas.
The Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati told state house correspondents in Abuja during his weekly news briefing.
Dr. Abati dismissed media reports that the President Jonathan might have dropped the proposal following public reactions.
Speaking on the investigations to unravel the activities of the Islamic religious sect in parts of the country, Boko Haram the presidential spokesman said that the report of the panel will be submitted this week and that the President Jonathan will take the report very serious.
