Zambia: Chishimba Kambwili expelled from PF
Zambia’s former minister of Information Chishimba Kambwili has been dismissed from the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) for indiscipline.
Kambwili a legislator and former President Edgar Lungu’s chief lieutenant has fallen out with the political party he found as a disciple to the late President Michael Sata.
He was fired along with MwenyaMusenge.
Speaking to the media in Lusaka, the PF secretary general Davis Mwila said the resolution was reached after lengthy deliberation by the party’s central committee.
“In line with PF’s internal democracy, the duo was provided with an opportunity to exculpate themselves.
“At this point Central committee once again deliberated extensively and regrettably a decisive action to expel Kambwili from the party was taken,” Mwila explained.
Meanwhile Kambwili who is also reportedly sponsoring various activities to distablilised the ruling party, confirmed his dismissal in a social media update.
