Senegal Shuts Doors at Gambian Commercial Vehicles

Gambia: National Assembly ratifies AU Kampala Convention

By Gambian Correspondent – Members of the National Assembly last Thursday unanimously ratified the AU Kampala Convention, which makes The Gambia the 5th country to ratify the convention. The bill tabled before lawmakers by the Honorable Minister of the Interior, Ousman Sonko, seeks to protect and promote the welfare of internally-displaced persons. Gambia increases Transport Fares effective today

By Gambian Correspondent – The Gambia National Transport Control Association (GNTCA) has announced that with effect from today that all commercial transport fares will increase across the country. With the new tariff, Banjul-Tabokotoo will now be D12 as oppose to D10 the previous rate, while Banjul-Bakau which used to D6 is now D8. In the same vein, Banjul-Serrekunda-Tallinding and Buffer Zone which used to be D8 is now D10.
