Gambia: Teranga FM back on air

By Own Correspondent – Barely a month since it was ordered to cease operations, Teranga FM, a community radio station based in Sinchu Alagie village in the Kombo North district of West Coast Region, is now back on air, The Point has learned. Though officials of the radio station could not be reached for comment, sources close to the radio said it resumed operations yesterday afternoon. Gambia: Husband sentenced to death for murdering wife

By Own Correspondent – The Special Criminal Court yesterday convicted and sentenced to death, one Sheriff Aba Hydara of Nuimi Bakalarr village in the North Bank Region, for the murder of his wife. The convict, believed to be an 81-year-old man, was found guilty of the murder of his wife and for attempted murder.
