Magnificent Gambia U20 team return home with pride

By Own Correspondent – The magnificent Gambia national U20 team yesterday morning returned to Banjul from Abidjan via Dakar after they have booked their ticket to the next year’s African U20 youth tournament in Libya at the expense of Cote D’Ivoire. The team landed at the Banjul International Airport yesterday at 11am from Dakar, where they spent the night with the team officials before heading back home with pride. Gambia: Defence to open in cocaine 9 voire dire trial

Gambia Gov’t reaffirms support to UN

Gambia: More witnesses testify in Tamba, Fofana treason trial

General Lang Tombong Tamba, and ex-chief of naval staff, Rear Admiral Sarjo Fofana, resumed yesterday at the special criminal court in Banjul amid tight security. Yesterday’s proceedings saw the testimonies of two prosecution witnesses: Lamin Manneh, a security officer, amd Muhammded Sowe, a police officer, attached to the Major Crime Unit. Armed Shipment bound to Gambia Intercepted in Nigeria

By Own Correspondent – Nigerian State Security Service (SSS) Tuesday seized an illegal arms shipment containing “rocket launchers, grenades and other explosives,” thought to be headed for Gambia. According to the Nigerian media, the shipment, containing 13 containers, is being held at the country’s largest shipping port, in Lagos.
