Ghana National Sports Festival set for launch

By Peterking Quaye – The National Sports Festival which is being revived after seven years of inactivity will assemble about 5,000 sportsmen and sportswomen in the capital city of Accra to compete for honours in 20 sporting disciplines. The disciplines are colts soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Netball, Boxing, Table Tennis, Badminton, Tennis, Athletics and Karate Do. The others are Taekwondo, Judo, Hockey, Chess, Scrabble, Swimming, Cycling, Disabled sports and Weightlifting. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon.
