Members of the House of Representatives of the National Legislature of Liberia have unanimously passed the National Water Supply and Sanitation Commission Act.
The Act sponsored by Montserrado County District#9 Representative Munah E. Pelham-Youngblood and co-sponsored by Montserrado County District#5 Representative, Thomas P. Fallah recently at the Capital during a special Session.
The National Water Supply and Sanitation Commission Act now goes to the Upper House (Senate) for concurrence before taken to the President for approval, and printed into law.

A local NGO, Community Union for Sustainable Development (CUSD) has donated two small agro processing machines valued over nine thousand United States Dollars to two Farmers' Groups in Nimba County.
The two groups are the Deapeh Rural Women in Sacleapea-Mah Statutory District and the Miaplay Oil Palm in Zoe-Geh Statutory District.
The Deapeh Rural Women Farmers Group was given the small agro cassava processing machine, while palm processing received the small agro oil palm processing machine.

The Christian Charity, Living Water International has declared six communities in Margibi County Open Defecation Free (ODF).
The exercise was verified and approved by the Liberian government, through the Ministries of Health and Public Works in partnership with other actors in the WASH sector of Liberia.
These communities obtained the status through the government’s driven Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) Program.

The issue of poor sanitation in and Monrovia remains a serious problem, especially with millions on United States dollars pumped by the World Bank.
The Project approved November 13, 2019, will be ending December 30, 2016.
The million dollar question is: "Has the World Bank Sanitation Project achieve?"
Huge piles of garbage can be seen across Monrovia with little or no efforts from those charged with the responsibility to ensure the piles of garbage are removed.
