The issue of flooding in the Nation’s capital, Monrovia and other parts of the country remains unabated due to the heavy down poor of rain, poor drainages and the construction of buildings in waterways. This has resulted to flooding in recent days in most parts of the capital, with several residents losing their personal belongings and rendering them homeless.
Glowing with smiles on their faces, beneficiaries of Oxfam Ebola Recovery Program in River-Gee County speak of how they were pleased with the intervention of Oxfam in their county and respective communities. The beneficiaries who were recruited from 15 communities in the six Districts of the County, extolled the Charity for its timely intervention.
Some of the four thousand, one hundred and forty seven beneficiaries of Oxfam Ebola Recovery Program in Grand Gedeh County have extolled the entity for initiating such Project in their County, following the aftermath of the Ebola outbreak. As part of efforts to complement Government’s Ebola Recovery Plan, Oxfam Liberia has launched a 1.7 Million United States dollars Livelihood Program. The Program which was launched Monday in Mehnpa, Saclepea-Mah District, Nimba County targets 11,317 beneficiaries from Nimba, River Gee and Grand Gedeh Counties. The Cash for work focuses on providing incentives to local farmers in the three counties, including farming implements.
