Robert Gordon University (RGU) will host a series of alumni events in Nigeria this week to strengthen links with former students and increase awareness of the institution around the country. The university has more than 1,300 alumni based in Nigeria and several representatives have travelled from Aberdeen to host receptions in two of the country’s most populous cities. Successes recorded in the fight against Malaria in Nigeria and Africa at large is being threatened by poor funding. This is contained in a press release by A Nigerian based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) The Better Society Foundation, TBSF, signed by its Executive Director, Mr. Ade Dare on this year’s World Malaria Day. Prison in-mates in Nigeria have turned a new leaf as they now addressed themselves to productive ventures in their prison environment. This was demonstrated by female in-mates in Kirikiri Prisons in Lagos South-West Nigeria who staged an exhibition tagged “In-mates Re-entry Programme”.
