On Friday September 11, 2015 the world joined the United States of America, and other peace loving nations, institutions and individuals to commemorate the barbaric terrorist killings that were carried in the US, in 2001. Development strategists have condemned growing religious radicalism as manifested through terrorism as another big inhibitor to prosperity. They say this is beyond religion, but a total transformation of mind of an individual in order to facilitate ill motives.

Tanzania: Funds for climate change misused

It has been established that not all funds that were disbursed for climate change did go directly go to address the issues that were aimed for. This information came in the work of the presentation ‘Tanzania: Disbursements of International Climate Finance, 2010 -2013” The workshop was conducted at the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) conference room on August 4th this year. Presenting this paper was Prof. Pius Yanda from the Institute of Resource Assessment (IRA), of the University Dar es Salaam (UDSM). He said that his report is a synthesis of responses from various stakeholders in the Climate Change awareness campaign.

One main challenge for politicians in Tanzania as the country is approaching General Elections in October 25th next month is the predetermined place for the youngsters. Shout-africa.com registered itself in two separate activities by students in tertiary institutions of education and there were the same demands; social transformation. On August 29th at the Ubungo Plaza there was a workshop for the youngsters to deliberate on their fate in the wake of the forthcoming General Elections.

The call was part of the deliberations during two days symposia Thursday 13th and 14th August, that were organised by the Civic Education Teachers Association (CETA) in collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS).
