Uganda gay activist David Kato Forced Killer Into Sodomy

By Nangayi Guyson – Kampala Uganda – Police in Uganda has reported  that Nsubuga Enock who confessed to murdering gay rights activist David Kato, was forced into sodomy by his victim. The Uganda police on Wednesday arrested  Enock after an advocacy officer for Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG) David Kato was beaten to death with a hammer at his home in Mukono District last week. The Offending Rolling Stone Article By Guyson Nangayi – Ugandan gay rights campaigner David Kato who was outed in a local newspaper  Rolling Stone as  a homosexual, has been beaten to death, activists have said. Police have confirmed the death and say they have arrested one suspect. Uganda’s Rolling Stone newspaper published the photographs of several people it said were gay, including Mr Kato, with the headline “Hang them”. Uganda: Journalists Applaud Court Ruling on Gays

UGANDA: Strong turnout as male circumcision kicks off in the north

GULU, 22 December 2010 (PlusNews) – After years of hearing about the protective effects of medical male circumcision against HIV, many men in northern Uganda are taking advantage of a government move to provide the procedure free of charge. Uganda launched its national male circumcision policy in September 2010; in 2006 a large study in Kenya, South Africa and Uganda found that the procedure can reduce a man’s risk of contracting HIV through vaginal intercourse by as much as 60 percent. Uganda placed on high security alert after grenade attacks

By Own Correspondent – Security forces in Uganda have urged the citizens to stay vigilant after grenade attacks on a Ugandan bound Coach from Nairobi yesterday evening leaving two people dead and injuring over 26 people. Monday’s explosion went off as passengers checked-in to board the Coach.
