Former Katikkiro of Buganda Joseph Mulwanyamuli Ssemwogerere has called upon Baganda living in the Diaspora to support all the Kingdom’s initiated projects back at home in Uganda. This was speaking during a ceremony organized by a United Kingdom based organization, Obuganda Obwanamaddala late last week in remembrance of the late Bernard Kibuuka Musoke. Lira- The big search engine Google on 9th October developed a doodle logo as a dedication to Uganda as it celebrates its 49 years of independence. The doodle logo with the independence day monument is seen above a search space on Google Uganda. The monument was constructed by the British Colonial Government just before Uganda’s first independence cerebrations on October 9, 1962. Prof. Bukenya is charged with abuse of office and taking advantage from a 3.9 million USD deal to provide cars to the 2007 Commonwealth summit in Uganda’s capital city; Kampala. But Uganda Red Cross Society could only confirm 18 deaths. Fourteen other people remained unaccounted.
