Uganda: Man strips naked in protest of poor health service

By Nangayi Guyson – A Man in Uganda’s Buyende district known to be Mr Vincent Onyango undressed himself in public before doctors in protest over poor government health facility services and unfair demands from medics at the facility centers. Uganda’s main opposition leader Dr Kizz Besigye loses his sight

By Nangayi Guyson – Kampala-Uganda’s main opposition leader Dr Kizz  Besigye who have been  so far arrested four times over fuel and  food high prices, has lost his sight, his sister, Dr Olive Kobusinye, said. His sister, Dr Olive Kobusinye, said the extent of damage to Dr Besigye’s sight could only be ascertained by an eye specialist. “As of now he cannot see. London: Ugandans hijack High Commission in protest

By Richard Semitego – Ugandans in the United Kingdom have Hijacked the Ugandan High Commission calling for the immediate release without an condition of those who were arrested during the Walk-to-work protests. About 100 protesters including opposition leaders have been arrested or detained and others charged for allegedly holding demonstrations, in protest of high food and fuel prices. Ugandan government bans live broadcasts, facebook and twitter

By Nangayi Guysons – Kampala – As protests against rising food and fuel prices enters the third day spreading to several districts, the Ugandan government has banned all medias to broadcast live protests but to only give updates. Apart from Ugandan Media being banned from live broadcasts of protests, the Uganda Communications Commission quietly asked Internet service providers to block communication on Facebook and Tweeter messaging platforms for 24 hours during the Walk-to-Work campaign on Thursday last week.
